BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 Cell Phone Review

BlackBerry, the most sophisticated PDA maker in the mobile phone market, has just launched its latest product, BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220.

The BlackBerry mobile phone was initially designated the handset model number 9100 and was codenamed as “KickStart” that gradually changed to Pearl Flip 8220. The BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 with designs launched by RIM, it was never suggestive that RIM can launch a clamshell form factor and that too at such lightweight with so sturdy and huge flip cell phone.

The BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 cell phone gives the ideal modern look when closed and outer screen displaying incoming calls, messages, BlackBerry Clock (tuned for time with date and day). The BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 cell phone is tattooed with T-Mobile logo and BlackBerry logo at back. Moreover, it is given a smooth matte black plastic finish at back.

The BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 cell phone as per RIM’s legacy supports SureType QWERTY keyboard and the keys are nicely spaced. The cell phone runs on OS 4.6, which is noticeably slower than the mate Bold is.

The BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 cell phone carries the legacy of BlackBerry handset gracefully, thereby offering a nice device to hold on with ease of lightweight. The cell phone is integrated with Lithium Ion battery offering 336 hours of standby and 4 hours of talk time.

To design the compact handset, many compromises have been done as “menu” and “back” keys are placed below the call keys, which make it confusing for the BlackBerry users. Also, the trackball is the standard trackball instead of “Atomic” trackball as featured in Curve 8900. In addition, the cell phone is a revolutionary handset but with non-fixed patches; the camera quality is not really admiring. Finally yet importantly, at concluding note, it can be said that the handset is good to use and easy to carry, making it the best fit for those who want functions with style.
