Dell Latitude E5400 Business Laptop


Recently, Dell has just introduced its new business laptop line, including the Latitude E5400 14.1-inch series with “everyday features at a affordable price”.

The Dell Latitude E5400 business laptop is based on Intel’s Centrino 2 technology. The Dell Latitude E5400 laptop comes with the Intel Core 2 Duo or Celeron processor, depending on user’s choice. The laptop features GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics, up to 250GB of hard drive space, up to 4GB of DDR2 memory, and a DVD ROM, Combo optical drive, or DVD burner. Moreover, the Dell Latitude E5400 has a 1280×800 or 1440×900 widescreen display.

Other features include various wireless options, including support for 802.11 draft-n standard, GPS, and mobile broadband. There are also Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth, and 56k modem connections.

Interestingly, the Dell Latitude E5400 laptop has a touchpad with optional Trackstick pointing device, four USB slots, one PC Card slot with support for a 34mm ExpressCard via a caddy, VGA and S-Video outputs, and a Firewire port.

For advanced security, the Dell E5400 laptop sports an optional Smart Card reader via the PC Card slot, optional fingerprint reader, and the Trusted Platform Module 1.2.

The Dell Latitude E5400 business laptop weighs around 5.6 pounds with a 6-cell battery. Optionally, it can be configured with a 4-cell or 9-cell unit. In addition, the 9-cell battery provides up to 6 hours of run time between charges.

The Dell Latitude E5400 laptop runs Microsoft Windows Vista OS and has a basic price of $788. It is available now at Dell's online store.
