W960 Walkman Phone from Sony Ericsson

This time, SurayBlog will review one of the high-end Walkman models from Sony Ericsson, which is the Sony Ericsson W960 (SE W960). SE W960 comes loaded with 8GB of built-in memory space. The SE W960 is the evolution of the manufacturer’s. The SE W960 is the one of the Sony Ericsson portfolio of music-centered gadgets. However, SE W960 does not have marvelous design and outlook like iPhone.

The SE W960 is based on Symbian OS v9.1 and UIQ 3.0. The SE W960 is full featured handset that features 8GB of storage and a 2.6” large QVGA resolution touch-screen display (262K colors), a 3.2MP camera, UMTS, an Opera browser, 3G capabilities and Wi-Fi. With such storage capacity, the handset can store up to 700 albums of music and able to play 25 hours of music continuously. Moreover, with this handset, you can able to upload 1GB of songs in less than 3 minutes.

The SE W960 features the same 208MHz processor with the SE P1i. However, the SE W960 is considering as a better handset than the SE P1i. The SE W960 boasts a dedicated Walkman key, three touch-sensitive keys for controlling the music player and with full-screen visualizations. Moreover, with measures only 109 x 55 x 16 mm and weights only 119 grams, the SE W960 isn’t the slimmest phone that commercial customers can get in the market. However, the SE W960 music handset is one of the slimmest multimedia smart phones in the market.

The handset will be available in select markets from Q4 2007.
