Unlocked Cell Phones to Work with Other Carriers

When searching for cell phones on the Internet, we may have run across the term-unlocked cell phone. What does that mean? If a cell phone is locked, it can only be used with one cell phone carrier firm. For example, if the cell phone was locked by T-Mobile, it can only be used with T-Mobile and not AT&T or another carrier.

How can you say if you have an unlocked cell phone? First, you must determine if your cell phone is CDMA or GSM. If your cell phone uses a SIM card then it is GSM. For example, U.S. GSM carriers are T-Mobile and Cingular. CDMA carriers are Alltel, US Cellular, Verizon Wireless, Qwest and Sprint PCS. Both types of cell phone can be unlocked and locked. However, only the GSM phones can be easily switched from carrier to carrier.

The GSM cell phones are the easiest to deal with as once it has unlocked. The unlocked cell phones will worked with any active SIM card. It means that we could insert an active Cingular or T-Mobile SIM card into the cell phone and it will work and make a call. We may not able to browse the web on that cell phone though if the cell phone is not programmed to that carrier. On the other hand, CDMA cell phones do not use SIM cards. Therefore, CDMA cell phones must be programmed to work with another carrier. If we do not have the special software to do this, then it is impossible to unlock the cell phones. CDMA cell phones are pretty much locked to the carrier they were made for.

Sometimes, I feel like have no control or freedom as a cell phone user. It is annoying to have a phone locked for various reasons, although I have paid quite a sum of cash in buying that particular phone. It can be any brand, be it Nokia, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Motorola and so on. We have already known that cell phones are unlocked in U.S. or other countries because of the services provider. However, I do not want to be tied up with such rules. Can you imagine if I am going to travel to other countries one day and nothing can be more frustrating than having my own phone locked when I really need it to perform some calling errands?

There are many online stores to offer Unlock Cell Phone services over the Internet. Some of them can unlock almost all GSM cell phones to work with all service providers worldwide. They offer the best professional software and devices to unlock BlackBerry, Nokia, LG, Motorola, Samsung, Sony Ericsson cell phones and many more. They also sell IMEI unlock codes for Rogers, Fido, BlackBerry, AT&T, Motorola, Nokia, T-Mobile and Cingular. Moreover, their professional unlocking and service repair equipment will effectively unlock a cell phone within 5 minutes. Finally, yet importantly, I found out that some of these companies could unlock the cell phone remotely too.
