Acer's 10.1-Inch Aspire One Netbook


Acer has officially announced a 10.1" version of the Aspire One netbook. A widescreen-display netbook with a resolution of 1024x600 pixels, which is a newly designed Aspire One that comes with the Intel Atom N270 or new N280 CPU, depending on model.

The Aspire One is equipped with 1GB of RAM (up to 2GB of RAM), a 160GB hard drive, and Windows XP OS. Other features of it include a multi-touch track-pad, a built-in web camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, and an optional 3G connection, three USB ports, and an SDHC card reader. Moreover, the 2.6-pound netbook also comes with an optional 6-cell battery for up to 7 hours of operation on a single charge, a built-in webcam. Acer's Aspire One will be available in four high-gloss colors, including blue, red, white, and black. In addition, it has a brushed-metal palm rest and an aerodynamic shaped metallic hinge. At this moment, we do not have any information about pricing and availability.
