World's Most Expensive and Futuristic Cars

Do you know the world’s most expensive, most powerful & fastest cars, which are available on the market nowadays? Unbelievable, it is hard to imagine someone would actually spend so much money on a car instead of using it for something more productive. However, if you have the money and the chance, then, you will definitely spend a small fraction of it to place a few of these super-cars in your garage. Below are 10 most expensive production super-cars on the market.

Bugatti Veyron ($1,700,000)

This is by far the most expensive street legal car available on the market nowadays. It is the fastest accelerating car reaching 0-60 in 2.6 seconds. It claims to be the fastest car with a proven top speed over 400 km/h (253 mph or 407 km/h). However, the title for the fastest car goes to the SSC Ultimate Aero, which exceeds 253 mph pushing this car to 2nd place for the fastest car.

The car is built by Volkswagen AG (VW) subsidiary Bugatti Automobiles SAS and is sold under the legendary Bugatti marque. It is named after racing driver Pierre Veyron, who won the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1939, while racing for the original Bugatti firm. The Veyron features a W16 engine.

The most powerful and the most expensive Lamborghini ever built is the second on the list. According to the official press release, only 20 units would be released to the public, with one additional car (marked as 0/20) produced for the Lamborghini Museum. However, according to the rumors, the total number would actually be 100. It takes 3.3 seconds to reach 60 mph and it has a top speed of 211 mph.

The car also used disallowed-technologies in F1 such as active aerodynamics and traction control. After a down-force of 775 kg is reached at 355.6 km/h (221 mph), the rear wing is actuated by computer to maintain that down-force.
