World's Most Expensive and Futuristic Cars

Do you know the world’s most expensive, most powerful & fastest cars, which are available on the market nowadays? Unbelievable, it is hard to imagine someone would actually spend so much money on a car instead of using it for something more productive. However, if you have the money and the chance, then, you will definitely spend a small fraction of it to place a few of these super-cars in your garage. Below are 10 most expensive production super-cars on the market.

Bugatti Veyron ($1,700,000)



This is by far the most expensive street legal car available on the market nowadays. It is the fastest accelerating car reaching 0-60 in 2.6 seconds. It claims to be the fastest car with a proven top speed over 400 km/h (253 mph or 407 km/h). However, the title for the fastest car goes to the SSC Ultimate Aero, which exceeds 253 mph pushing this car to 2nd place for the fastest car.

The car is built by Volkswagen AG (VW) subsidiary Bugatti Automobiles SAS and is sold under the legendary Bugatti marque. It is named after racing driver Pierre Veyron, who won the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1939, while racing for the original Bugatti firm. The Veyron features a W16 engine.

Lamborghini Reventon ($1,600,000)



The most powerful and the most expensive Lamborghini ever built is the second on the list. According to the official press release, only 20 units would be released to the public, with one additional car (marked as 0/20) produced for the Lamborghini Museum. However, according to the rumors, the total number would actually be 100. It takes 3.3 seconds to reach 60 mph and it has a top speed of 211 mph.

McLaren F1 ($970,000)



In 1994, the McLaren F1 was the most expensive and fastest car. Even though it was built 15 years ago, it has an impressive top speed of 240 mph and reaching 60 mph in 3.2 seconds. Even as of today, the McLaren F1 is still top on the list and it outperformed many other super-cars in the world. The car is assembled at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, England. Most people presume “SLR” to stand for “Sportlick, Leicht, Rennsport” (German for “Sport, Light, Racing”).

Enzo Ferrari ($670,000)



The most well-known super-car ever built. The Enzo has a top speed of 217 mph and reaching 60 mph in 3.4 seconds. Only 400 units were produced and it is currently being sold for over $1,000,000 at auctions. The car is a 12 cylinder mid-engine berlinetta named after the company’s founder, Enzo Ferrari.

Currently, The Enzo is one of the most powerful naturally aspirated productions automobiles. It was built in 2002 using F1 technology, such as a carbon-fiber body, F1-style electro-hydraulic shift transmission, and Carbon fiber-reinforced Silicon Carbide (C/SiC) ceramic composite disc brakes. The car also used disallowed-technologies in F1 such as active aerodynamics and traction control. After a down-force of 775 kg is reached at 355.6 km/h (221 mph), the rear wing is actuated by computer to maintain that down-force.

Pagani Zonda C12 F ($667,321)



It is produced by a small independent company in Italy. The Zonda C12 F debuted at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show. It is the most extensive reengineering of the Pagani car yet, though it shares much with its predecessors including the 7.3 L V12.

The Pagani Zonda C12 F is the 5th fastest car in the world. It promises to delivery a top speed of 215 mph+ and it can reach 0-60 in 3.5 seconds.

SSC Ultimate Aero ($654,400)



Do no let the price tag fool you, the 6th most expensive car is actually the fastest street legal car in the world with a top speed of 257 mph+ and reaching 0-60 in 2.7 seconds. The SSC Ultimate Aero is an American-built mid-engine super-car by Shelby SuperCars. The car cost nearly half as much as the Bugatti Veyron, yet has enough power to top the most expensive car in a speed race. It is estimated that only 25 of this exact model will ever be produced.

Saleen S7 Twin Turbo ($555,000)



The first true American production certified super-car. The Saleen S7 Twin Turbo is an updated revision of the original S7. The super-car is also rank 3rd for the fastest car in the world. It has a top speed of 248 mph and it can reach 0-60 in 3.2 seconds. If you are a true American patriot, you can be proud to show off this car.

Koenigsegg CCX ($545,568)



CCX is an abbreviation for Competition Coupe X; the X commemorating the 10th anniversary, (being the Roman numeral for ten), of the completion and test drive of the first CC vehicle in 1996. The CCX was first unveiled at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show, although its existence was announced earlier.

Swedish made, the Koenigsegg is fighting hard to become the fastest car in the world. Currently, it is the 4th fastest car in the world with a top speed of 245 mph+, the car manufacture Koenigsegg is not giving up and will continue to try and produce the fastest car.

Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Roadster ($495,000)



A GT supercar, the SLR McLaren is the fastest automatic transmission car in the world with a top speed of 206 mph+ and reaching 60 mph in 3.8 seconds. It is a luxurious convertible with a really powerful engine, which results in outstanding performances and style.

The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is an Anglo-German super-car jointly developed by Mercedes-Benz and McLaren Automotive, built in Portsmouth and the McLaren Technoloby Centre in Woking, Surrey, England. At the time Mercedes-Benz owned 40-percent of the McLaren Group.

Porsche Carrera GT ($440,000)



A mid-engined sport car with dynamic stability control and a top speed of 205 mph and it can reach 0-60 in 3.9 seconds. The Porsche Carrera GT (manufactured by Porsche in Leipzig, Germany) applies the absolute calibers of a true racing car to offer an unprecedented driving feeling on the road.
