Processor: AMD Releasing Phenom

Officially, AMD have been releasing new generation processors named Phenom. Phenom processors are based on Barcelona’s architecture. As soon as possible, this new label of processors name called Phenom will be found in the next generation of desktop processors family from AMD. AMD’s processors called Phenom with previously processors (AMD Athlon 64 and AMD Sempron) will comply with a request on the computing needs.

AMD have been demonstrating a Phenom processor on the Quad FX configuration, this means that eight cores of processor all at once in a system. The platform of Quad FX named by AMD as FASN8 or fascinate. The FASN8 platform will be implemented with the new chipset called RD790, also with the processor of dual Phenom FX. With the collaboration of AMD ATI Radeon HD 2900 XT on the FASN8 platform, this system will able to bring teraflop power solution. These AMD’s products, Phenom processors and RD790 chipset will be found on the market in the end of this year, December 2007.
