In Memoriam: Luciano Pavarotti Had Left Us

I just got sad news; Luciano Pavarotti had died at 5:00 a.m. at his home in Modena, which is the city of his birth. A famous person who had put his entire life as opera tenor star, who appeared on stage with singers as varied as opera star Dame Joan Sutherland, U2’s Bono and Liza Minnelli, had gone forever on Thursday after suffering from pancreatic cancer at 71 years old.

Luciano Pavarotti had retired from staged opera in 2004. Later on, he was diagnosed to suffer for pancreatic cancer in 2006 and underwent emergency surgery to get rid of the tumor. The tour was cancelled. However, his management said that Luciano Pavarotti want to resume the tour in 2007.

I used to hear his loudly voices when he was sung. Later on, know more about him when I was entering Junior High School. I was thinking that no one could beat him. However, I did not expect to be like him, a tenor singer. Honestly, he had created many changes the way people judge about musicians. He is one of the best that I have known and he will remain the best to his fans. Good-bye Luciano Pavarotti, may all people that hear your voices will always know your works on entire of your life.

We shall dearly miss a man who was so much more than just a singer. He was a family man, surrounding himself with family after a concert. A true legend who has left an enormous legacy and enormous void to fill. Strange how truly famous people don't show up in the gossip magazines. He just went out to sing, as he says, as well as he could every single time he took the stage or got behind a studio microphone.
