Mobile Phone News: Nokia 6300i + VoIP


Nowadays, most people that you know, probably has a mobile phone of some sort. In many countries, even in development countries, the average person has at least one mobile phone. With all the comfortable features that a mobile phone offers, more and more person can go about his/her daily activities with more ease. About 10 years ago, when there were only a handful of people who had mobile phones. That was a time when pagers were still the exclusive communication tools. Nowadays, the face of the mobile communication industry has changed so much. One can do more with a mobile phone than simply make voice calls.

Each year, we are facing new technology that is developed in relation to mobile phone applications. Making voice calls was the major function of a mobile phone and today we have more and more features such as multimedia messaging, phone camera features, Walkman phones, text messaging, and more. That is why I do not find it particularly surprising that mobile phone manufacturers are now developing and releasing units that are capable of exploiting what a connection to the Internet can do. You might wonder to have a VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) feature through mobile phones? Why not? You do not need more tools to connect yourself on the Internet, because Nokia has launched its new handful mobile phone, the new Nokia 6300i.

Nokia has announced its new 6300i, a GSM mobile phone that offering a fully integrated VoIP. The Nokia 6300i makes up for an ideal complement for connections from the home office. Users can store up to 2,000 VoIP, Home, and mobile numbers that can be listed side-by-side. A dedicated WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) and VoIP symbols show the connection status and whether a phone call is using GSM network or VoIP.

The Nokia 6300i, which is estimated to start shipping in the second quarter of 2008 in select markets with an estimated retail price of EUR 175, before taxes and subsidies.

Moreover, the 6300i also features WidSets and Download, full screen view finder, Nokia maps, music player support for mp3, AAC, MP4, AAC+, FM stereo radio, XHTML browsing over TCP/IP, GPRS/EDGE/HSCSD/CSD for browsing and as data modem, GPRS class 10, EDGE class 10, WLAN, Bluetooth 2.0, OMA DRM version 2.0, 2.5mm AV connector, High-speed Micro USB interface to PC. 2.0 “ TFT VGA display with 320×240 pixel resolution, the usual MMS/SMS and email messaging capabilities, and more.

The Nokia 6300i runs on S40 user interface with clear display for easy readability. Moreover, the Nokia 6300i sports a classic silver-gray look and weighs just 93g. It has side volume keys for easy adjustment and volume control. It is also packed an integrated handsfree speaker, Xpress on audio messaging, loudspeaker for IHF, voice commands and voice recording and speaker-independent name dialing. However, what most make feel want to have this mobile phone is its VoIP calling features.

Hey, thats good enough that the people of Nokia had brought out a new cell phone 6300i and had the feature of VOIP. Now-a-days people are intersted in making voice calls which would cost cheap. The features of the cell are also good.
