Well, I got a good news for you, in this October, Nokia's first S60 5th Edition phone and the Samsung i8510 will be on display at the Symbian Smartphone Show.
All Exhibitors will be showcasing their latest handsets to Smartphone Show visitors and will include a preview of Nokia's first S60 5th Edition based device (and first touch screen phone) the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic as well as the first 8MP camera phone on the market- the Samsung i8510.
The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is the first handset based on S60 5th Edition and Symbian OS v9.4 the latest shipped version of Symbian OS. Symbian OS v9.4 is optimized for convergence, designed with performance and feature enhancements that enable consumers to enjoy new uses and experiences on their mobile phone, ensuring the platform security and highest level of power efficiency.
The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic features a 3.2-inch (360 x 640) touch screen, WLAN and 3G connectivity, a 3.2MP auto-focus camera, proximity sensor, integrated A-GPS, accelerometer, 8GB memory for up to 6000 tracks, support for all main digital music formats, and a 3.5mm jack.
On the other hand, the Nokia S60 tries to offer versatile developer support that enables developers to write applications with a language that they are already familiar. In doing so, the barrier of entry for innovation has been lowered and the Nokia S60 5th Edition is expanding its support for open source innovation through support for Open C++.
