Toshiba has just launched the Toshiba Tecra M10, a new 14.1-inch business-class notebook. This new notebook is based on the Intel Centrino 2 notebook processor platform and NVIDIA Quadro NVS 150M 256MB video graphic card. The configurable Toshiba Tecra M10-ST9110 model can be ordered with the Intel Core 2 Duo P8400, P8600, or T9400 processor, up to 4GB of DDR2 memory, up to 250GB of hard drive space or a 128GB solid-state drive, and a DVD burner. Display resolution options are 1280×800 and 1440×900.
The Toshiba Tecra M10 also sports a built-in web camera, Gigabit Ethernet LAN, the Intel Wi-Fi Link 5100AGN wireless, and 56k modem connections, optional Bluetooth, 3 USB ports, a PC Card slot, an additional USB/eSATA combo port with Sleep-and-Charge functionality, Serial and Firewire ports, DVI-D and VGA video outputs, and 6-in-1 media card reader. In addition, security features include Smart Card reader, a fingerprint reader, and the Trusted Platform Module 1.2.
The Toshiba Tecra M10 runs Microsoft Windows Vista OS and includes Intel vPro technology for easier IT manageability. It starts at 5.38-pounds with a 6-cell battery that provides up to hours and 53 minutes of battery life. The basic Toshiba Tecra M10 configuration costs about $1,254. Finally yet importantly, Toshiba has also released the Tecra A10, a 15.4-inch version of the notebook.
